Two questions about a 1982 Honda Magna?

It's a 750 cc 1982 Honda Magna. I want to know how much oil goes into the engine and the transmission, also what kind of oil. Now for my second question: The second gear on my motorcycle always locks up, I mean whenever i switch to second gear, add a little gas it locks up and i have to switch to either first or third gear! So does anyone know how to fix this problem??

Any oil that is made for motorcycles will be fine, you do have to be careful of any oil that has"friction modifiers" in it tho, it actually makes the oil to slippery and since the engine oil is use by the clutch the clutch will start to slip.

As for the 2ed gear issue, this is a common problem among these old V4's, most people who are not mechanics skip 2ed gear when riding instead of trying to completely tear down the entire engine to fix this problem. I have a 83 V65 Magna and am a ASE certified mechanic (for cars), if my bike had the 2ed gear problem I would be very tempted to keep driving it without tearing it apart just to give you an idea of how big of a job it would be.

value and verify out the battery. Lot's of circumstances the battery is powerful sufficient to coach the starter yet no longer solid sufficient to fireside the ignition. 2 days in the past spouse's Magna exhibited the comparable smyptoms. I sluggish charged the battery for a pair hours and fired that mom up. Her situation is a shot regulator/rectifier. verify yours as quickly as you get working.

should tell you in ml near the oil fill,30w, as for your next question yea I know how, but unless you have experiance spliting motorcycle cases I dont suggest you try,sounds like she aint much longer for this world being an 82, most shops wont work on bikes that old anymore, sorry.

Any quality brand name 4 stroke motor oil 10W40 or 20W50.

A little less than 4 quarts. Fill it to the top marking of the dipstick with the dipstick resting on it's threads (don't thread it in).

Second gear problem will need transmission repair.
