Bulbs are standardized across the industry and are identified by 3 or 4 numbers and maybe a letter. Look in your owners manual and it should tell you exactly the correct spec bulb. Otherwise take out the old bulb - assuming someone before you - has put IN the correct bulb and read the number off of the base of it. Then go to the parts store and get the right number bulb. And - yes there are heavy duty bulbs that will cross reference to the "standard" bulb. They are usually 2-3 times more $$ and might be worth it if vibration is killing your bulbs. Some mc's have 2 bulbs for redundancy.

UHHHHH how about the local dealer-he has the knowledge and the part you are looking for.You may find a bulb at the auto store for a cruiser but I don't think you will find one at auto zone, for a sportbike.

Take the old bulb out an take it down to an auto store. I'm pretty sure they can match it.
They make 'special' bulbs for motorcycles that are more resistant to vibration and mechanical shock. They have a wire that supports the filament inside the bulb so they don't bounce around as much, and the idea is that this makes the bulb last longer. You would find one of those at a motorcycle shop (maybe the Kawasaki dealer). But the regular bulb made for cars will do just fine.
Also for brake and tail lights you can get an LED bulb that lasts forever and is a lot brighter. The downside is that you can't see it as well from the side.

Go to a local store that has those bulbs for all vehicles (makes and models). There is usually a binder detailing which type you need. Also, consult your driver's manual to ensure it is the same or close.
