1983 Honda CM400T. It has Comstar rims and chain drive and is a vertical twin. And it has a vetter fairing.

Nope, sorry, but you are all wrong. Prince rode Apollonia Kotero on a 1983 Honda Silverwing in Purple Rain. The front fairing was modified slightly. For those of you who don't know, the Silverwing was a Honda 550cc engine on a Goldwing (1100) chassis.

Sorry to the guy up top. It definitely wasn't a Honda Goldwing. I just looked at the movie trailer and the bike had a chain, not a drive shaft. The windshield wasn't stock. It's a Vetter Windjammer. The taillight is Kawasaki. As for which model, sorry, I can't help.
