OKay, what does the cc mean? does it mean like the size of the bike, or does it mean how much power it has? Im confused.
Im going to be really new at this, like really new. So what would you consider the most "safe" dirtbike?
And ony other tips would be great!

cc's = engine size

bigger bikes usually have bigger engines

bigger engines usually have more power

for you, i'd look at somthing like a 125 or 250 4 stroke dirtbike; small light and easy on the wallet an not a power monster

remember, any fool can go fast on a fast bike, going fast on a slow bike is a real skill that translates into better big bike control

cc = cubic centimeters. Without getting all technical, it's basically the size of the engine. The more cc's a bike has generally speaking the more horsepower and weight it will have. Anything over 50cc requires a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license to operate. A Honda Metro is an example of a 50 cc scooter. Bigger engine = more weight.

You sound like an average size girl, as such I would recommend that you go for at least a 125cc dirt bike, up to a 250cc if you feel comfortable on it. With a dirt bike odds are you will drop it, so be sure you can pick it up. Anyone with average physical abilities can pick up any motorcycle (even the biggest Harley) providing you know the technique.

For comparison, a Harley Davidson is about 1500cc, they weigh about 700 lbs.

Engine size is not necessarily the be all end all for considering what a bike is capable of. A 600cc sport bike will blow the chrome off a 1500cc Harley in a race, but the 1500cc Harley could tow camping trailer up hill and the 600cc sport bike would just spin it's tires with a trailer hooked to it.

Go to your local dealer and sit on a Honda CRF150F. This is a moderately sized dirt bike, great for beginners.2005 and newer have electric start. Or you could try a Yamaha TTR125. See what fits you. I would not recommend a 250 to a beginner. Do not try a CRF150R, it is a race bike.

okay, cc basically refers to the size of the engine (cubic centimeters). with that in mind, more cc's *usually* means more powerful. however, bigger also means less gas-efficient (not that it matters much with bikes anyway).
