hey everyone, im new tot he whole motorcycle thing and have a quick question, probably a dumb as hell one but gonna ask so I personally feel better about my choice. Im looking at the arai RX-7 Corsair but im alittle confused on the thing next to the solid color that says "replica" main reason why is because there are a few in that selection that i really really like. so is there any differance between the solid color ones and the replicas BESIDES that the replicas have graphics? Thanks for your time people.

THere's no difference, the "replica" helmets you speak of generally have the same paint jobs as the racers who wear them...That's the only difference. The solid color helmets are the same models, just in "solid" colors.

Replica is the racer inspired graphics.....the above posts answer this. One bit of advice if you plan to buy an Arai helmet, have it fitted by an authorized salesman. They will install the proper pads on this inside to fit your head. I have had 2 Arai hemets, 1 Shoe, 1 HJC, 1 AGV, and 1 Bell. The first Arai was not fitted and I bought a medium. It hurt on the forehead area. I went to a motorcycle race and bought a small from a Kiosk tent and he put all new pads to fit my head...it is perfect. In my opinion Arai is the best helmet out there!

Your question is already well-answered, but remember, the most important thing is that it fits your head well! For me Arai and Shoei are both good quality but they do not at all have the same shape. Try several good quality brands to see how they feel on your head, make sure you are sizing correctly, etc. This will become very important to you if you ever wear the helmet for more than about half an hour!

PS Any question asked in the spirit of truly learning something is not a dumb one!

Sorry I don't have an answer for your "replica" question. Just wanted to say an Arai helmet is a great choice! They're comfortable, durable, and look great!

the aria is shape fit so make sure you are looking at the right one for your bean

corsair is the type and the specs will be the same graffics or not go to teir web site and look at their product. Once you wear an arai you won't wear anything else

Only difference is graphics.

Definitely try on the different helmets, as the different models of Aria fit different head shapes. I have both the RX7 as well as an older Quantum E, and the fit is very different.

Dude be careful with the Arai helmets. I love em, but my head is long. If I was roundheaded I would have been stuffed.

Yowee, does God even need to wear a helmet? No, when I compose I put on my catholic school girl outfit and a aluminum foil hat so aliens can't steal my thoughts.

Its a Replica of a Racer's helmet - the replca refers to the graphics.

Arai's are very god helmets, but pricey. I prefer Shoei - still high quality, but quite a bit cheaper.
