SERIAL NUMBER IS INDECIPHERABLE - I NEED TO KNOW THE ENGINE SIZE BECAUSE I'M FIXING IT UP AND NEED TO GET THE RIGHT PARTS -

IT APPEARS TO BE ONE OF THE LARGER MODELS - RACK ON THE BACK.

1500 CM CAN BE CONVERTED TO CUBIC INCHES - THEREBY A KNOWLEDGABLE PERSON COULD OR SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL THE ENGINE SIZE.

ANY ANSWERS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Not sure what 1500 cm has to do with a Yamaha Moto 4. You probably mean 1500cc i.e. cubic centimeters, and there's no way a Moto 4 is that big. Not sure why you need to convert it to cu in either, because no Japanese manufacturer uses imperial measurements. The only actual question you've asked is meaningless, because the engine size is not based on the measurement of length you've given us. You'll probably have to put it on a trailer and take it to a dealer. But start with the link below and see if you can figure something out from there.

If the frame VIN is not legible, there is a number of the engine crankcases as well which any good parts person can use. Aside from that, somewhere on the bottom of the cylinder, the cubic centimeter displcament is writen. It will say something like .250l for a 250 for example. Imperial measurments are meaningless in the world of vehicles outside the US. So if it is not made in the US, use metric.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.
