i am almost 17 and want to get a 125cc bike when after my birthday.

I found the Honda NSR125 it seemed perfect, best looks, reliable, awesome acceleration. however they stopped production in 2004, so as of yet i have been unable to find one in good condition for a reasonable price.

if anyone could suggest to me any other bikes which are similar and tell me about them. i would be very grateful.

i would not like to spend much over £1000, and a further £1000 on insurance.

Thanks in advance :)

Honda CBR125 (Newer version of the NSR but it's a 4 stroke)

Aprilia RS125 (2-stroke)

There are a few different cruiser-style of bikes available (these cruiser-style bikes tend to be less than 1000 pounds) and dont forget to haggle.

Try biketrader for bikes;

I'd advise getting some safety kit too;

Also, dont forget you need a provisional license (50 quid) and CBT (100 quid roughly)

Good luck, safe riding

yerr,i wanted to get a nsr,but the age factor on them just annoys me,pretty stupid that they stopped making them for the cbr which is crap, small and slow.

pretty cheap ones ebay if you have a good look.

you could get a rs125,but you probably wouldn't get a good one for just a grand.

you could get a cagiva mito,they are ment to get up to 115mph which is pretty rapid,but the same as the rs for money.

if you wanted 'reliability',you could try and get a yamaha yzf but these are pretty dear D:

well their is the aprilia rs125 which is a very nice and fast bike which i think looks best in the tuono version, the cagiva mito which are expensive for age but very good bikes as they are linked with ducati, but if you like hondas they do the cbr which does look small but is a very good bike.
