Look DoNT mess with the R6 SYSTEM

the best you can do is replace the stock can with an after market or slip on

if you replacce the header and the main collector you are going to be in a whole world of financial pain..

if it ain't broke Don't FIX IT...

don't you think Yamaha did a good job in the first place???

I bet you are the kind of bloke who puts condiments on a meal prepared by Gordon Ramsay...!

If a Chef seasons a meal then it is correct and needs nothing more...

Take a look at the YAMAHA emblem.... What is it made up of? I'll tell you THREE TUNING FORKS!!! it doesn't mean as some say that they make musical instruments ( they do) it means Tuned to perfection...

If you want to up it go to a yamaha dealer and get their STAGE 1 kit.. that is designed for the job..

BTW Yamaha make 3 levels of tune for their bikes Stage 1-2-3, Stage three is a full on race bred bike and will cost you upto 3,000 on top of the bike.

My CBR1100XX Blackbird did something very similar.... I needed to be in neutral, sidestand up and the clutch pulled in to start the bike... indicators working erratically and high beam not working at all. After a while the engine would cut out and wouldn't start again. I took it in to a Honda dealer and they told me I needed a whole new wiring harness... which would have been 1000 GBP fitted. I decided against that and trailered the bike home... as everything was working intermittently. A strip down of the bike revealed that the 2 main connectors were showing signs of corrosion... so I carefully cleaned all the connections and degreased them... On many bikes there's a common earth terminal, mine was badly corroded so I ended up cutting off all the connections and soldering them together finally encasing them in shrink wrap. After a weekend's work ( A year ago) my bike hasn't missed a beat apart from my exhaust collector box blowing apart... One stainless system later and everything's great! Shame about the snow! I cannot emphasise more though... While it's not too difficult a task for anyone... if you go about it the wrong way you could make things worse.... Be methodical and it helps if you have a manual to refer to.

it would deliver good performance with the stock exhaust. If you are really particular about making it louder(little bit)then go for yoshimura exhaust. It is really good, but you can expect your milage to take a hit. Please stick to your stock pipe if possible.

Man,.. you are a slow learner aren't ya?

What part of a screaming racerboy wannabe bike is extremely and unnecessarily OBNOXIOUS do you NOT understand??

btw: one of Gladys Knight's pips probably would not be available for this kind of thing.
