There is no set max speed for 110cc bikes or scooters.

Usually the bike will be faster due to better air resistance and manual gearbox

110cc = 110 Cubic Centimeters - referring to the displacement of the engine.

The top speed is going to be a combination of how much horsepower that particular engine has been engineered to produce, the gear ratios in the transmission, and the gear ratio on the front and back chain/belt sprockets, or the drive shaft/rear-end.

Modifying intake/exhaust, gear-ratios, and other mods can make either vehicle faster - the motorcycle used to would have been easily faster, but there are some pretty quick scooters out there. I'd stick with the bike for sure though.

110cc is the engine displacement. Like your car is probably around a 2 liter engine, thats 2000cc. Most FAST motorcycles, especially in the US are over 500cc, superbikes are around 1100cc, 10x that of a 110. Really though unless you're racing, going on a major highway, or just insecure about your masculinity, 110 is fine, 250 is killer

a motorbike will generally be faster, the main difference besides style however will be the scooters are usually automatic (CVT) while the motorcycles require shifting gears. That will let you get better performance depending on how you ride it, and a better top speed. Also manufacturers often design motorcycles to be faster and rev higher because people interested in that style of bike often want that kind of performance, whereas your average scooter buyer wants to putt over to the grocery store efficiently and doesnt need crazy top speeds.

i've got confidence the checklist is 141 MPH on a Honda in 2004 yet as reported above, a hundred and ten CC is the displacement of the engine in cubic centimeters. A motorcyle that small can do one in all 2 issues, go very rapid or have existence like means and acceleration. no longer the two. an commonly used 100CC bike might do around 50-60 MPH and nonetheless have the skill to get remote from a end gentle and characteristic the skill to maintain up with site visitors in existence like protection, presented the rider is decrease than one hundred fifty pounds. there's a very stunning action picture approximately an old guy in New Zealand eager to set a bike velocity checklist. according to a genuine tale, i might advise all and sundry to hire it, quite in case you're old like me LOL. stated as the international's quickest Indian.

110 cc is the size of the engine. Scooter or motorcycle speed depends on the state of tune, overall gearing, aerodynamics and the rider's willingness to push it to it's limits.

And contrary to one reply, there is scooter racing:

Normally motor cycles are faster than the scooters. In scooters balancing becomes danger at higher speeds than motor cycles. Example is moto cross race etc. There are motor cycles races but no scooter races.
