How do you restore the power in a old motorcycle battary so that it works like a new one?

I understand that a build up occurs on the lead plates of a battrry and if you can remove the build up then the battry will work just like a new one for another few years.

When a battery gets so old that it can no longer hold a charge, then it is time to retire it. There is no cure for old age as far as batteries are concearned.

You can flush it out with distilled water and refill it with new battery acid but it is a temporary fix at best.

Flush it out with baken soda and water.once it is clean add new acid and charge it up
